Hihi lovebugs!!

So far, today has turned out to be a great day, for a bunch of different reasons.

  • It’s SUNDAY!! My favorite day of the week.
  • There were thunderstorms this morning, which I loved. It gave me Summer fever times a million…
  • I got a rockin’ workout this morning by using Exercise TV for the first time. I did 25 minutes of Jillian Michael’s “Boost Your Metabolism” and 15 minutes of “Yoga For Beginners.”
  • Loaded Yogurt for breakfast was to die:

Pumpkin yogurt a la Caitlin (canned pumpkin + plain Oikos) topped with sliced banana, chia seeds, Hi-Lo cereal, dates, and raw almond butter. SO so good.

the dates kind of look like bacon here...? haha

Moving on…

  • Church was awesome this morning….especially because I haven’t been there in 2 weeks!
  • I enjoyed my t-shirt :P

sweater - Forever 21. shirt - Urban Outfitters. jeans - Jolt. boots - Blowfish.

  • I finally made April’s Protein Bars and I am in deep, deep love with them!

the perfect base for almond butter, obv.

  • The rest of my lunch wasn’t so bad either:

1 egg, 1 egg white, spinach, and Laughing Cow on La Tortilla

  • I’m planning a small birthday dinner with my closest friends for Wednesday night (my birthday is on Thursday :D )
  • I’m getting excited because FitBloggin’ is the day after my birthday, followed by a road trip to Florida. WOOP!!
  • I’m finally seeing Avatar this afternoon…if all goes as planned.

Gotta run! I have quite the busy week ahead of me, so I’m going to start making some sort of plan of action. Clearly I’ll find any excuse to make to-do lists =) Have a great Sunday, babes! xoxo G

What are your favorite Loaded Yogurt toppings/combinations?

  • Your lunch looks SO good! And I love your outfit! And we are total music twins. I LOVE ARCADE FIRE! I saw them live 3 years ago and it was amazing! I also listen to rap when I workout. Simon and Garfunkle don’t pump me up enough to run! Haha but I love Kanye and Jay Z. :)

  • Hey, so, yeah – feel free to come make me some loaded yogurt anytime? haha. But really – that looks killer. For some reason I haven’t been doing the whole loaded yogurt thing lately!! It used to be ritualistic, just like my warm bowls of Kashi are now, haha. I think it just has to do with the weather – I think I’ll be back to cold bowls of cereal once it warm back up :)
I loved tons of fruit, some crunchy granola and/or cereal, dried fruit, jams – whatever I’ve got kickin’ around! Salty pretzels are alway good, too :]
I’m pretty sure nearly EVERYONE is born in March, haha. It’s a happenin’ month! I share my birth week with everyone at work, lol.
Never done Exercise TV on demand, but I loved when I got FitTV at my old apartment. They had some cool Yoga episodes as well as high intensity.

Glad you’ve had a great morning – hope your day continues the same!

I love mixing pumpkin into my yogurt and then topping it with cereal or nuts to make “pumpkin pie”. I also love apples or frozen blueberries, Kashi GoLean or GoLean Crunch (or both!), and walnuts. Now I’m busy thinking of more things I could try…

  • Oooh your loaded yogurt combo sounds amazing! I always forget about yogurt for breakfast! I mix a bit into my oats but haven’t had an actual serving of yogurt for breakfast in a looong time! You’ve definitely inspired me!
